ON MAC
The computer
- Artlantis is installed on a physical machine (Please note that Artlantis isn’t officially supported on virtual machines)
- Your computer fits the minimum requirement (here)
- The system is up to date
- You have administrator privileges on your account (apply them manually to Artlantis here)
- In the System Preferences, Security and Privacy tab, check if the FileVault and Firewall are on. If they are, exclude Artlantis and its components from them (Batch Render, License Manager...)
- Set Artlantis to open in low resolution (right click on the Artlantis app > Get info > General > check Open in Low Resolution)
- OSX 10.14 and higher: Allow Artlantis and its components in the System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility
Artlantis
- Artlantis is up to date (Help menu > Check for Update)
- Clean Artlantis hidden files
The Artlantis files
- They’re stored in local, not on a synchronized or shared folder
- The files and the path where the files are stored don’t contain specific characters (ü, ?, &, +, %, …)
To test
- Try to open the Demo file (Original path : Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/Abvent/Artlantis/Scenes)
- If the FileVault and Firewall were activated during the install, reinstall Artlantis with these ones disabled
ON WINDOWS
The computer
- Artlantis is installed on a physical machine (Please note that Artlantis isn’t officially supported on virtual machines)
- Your computer fits the minimum requirement (here)
- The system is up to date
- You have administrator privileges on your account
The graphic card
- Update the driver
- Set Artlantis to use your graphic card
The antivirus and firewall
- Allow Artlantis in your firewall or proxy
- Exclude the following path of your antivirus :
- C:\Program Files\Artlantis Studio x
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Abvent_Artlantisx
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\Abvent
- C:\Users\Public\Documents\Abvent\Artlantis
Artlantis
- Artlantis is up to date (Help menu > Check for Update)
- Clean Artlantis hidden files
The Artlantis files
- They’re stored in local, not on a synchronised or shared folder
- The files and the path where the files are stored don’t contain specific characters (ü, ?, &, +, %, …)
To test
- Run Artlantis with a right click > Run as administrator
- Try to open the Demo file (Original path : C:\Users\Public\Documents\Abvent\Artlantis\Scenes)
- If the antivirus and Firewall were activated during the install, reinstall Artlantis with these ones disabled
